Playa d’en Bossa is the most popular tourist resort in Ibiza. Due to its size, Playa d’en Bossa is divided between two different municipalities, Eivissa (North) and Sant Josep (South).
The area boasts the longest sandy beach on the island (3km!), surrounded by a multitude of hotels and many fashionable beach clubs, predominantly aimed at young and affluent clientele. In the streets parallel to the sea you will find famed nightclubs, hotel discos, shopping centers, bars, recreational centers for children, a water park, sports facilities, and many restaurants.
Families looking for quiet surroundings will also find appropriate places to stay away from the busy waterfront with a good number of restaurants hosting a family-friendly atmosphere.
Despite Playa d’en Bossa being mainly thought of as a summer destination, local residents during the winter season often visit the lengthy strip of white sand for long hikes and nature-loving days out. Those lucky enough to call Playa d’en Bossa their home will take advantage of the beach and it’s promenade to take daily dips in the sea or go for a jog in the mornings or late evenings, when the heat has set.
Playa d’en Bossa is easy to reach from the airport (5 min.), the town of Sant Jordi (2 min.), and from the city of Ibiza (4 min.). If you prefer to leave your car parked for the day, there is a regular "taxi boat" that will take you from the beach to Ibiza town old port, Marina Botafoch or even all the way to Talamanca.
